I'll add/remove things on this list as we go:-
- Be very careful of using special characters in any of the fields in the ServerOptions.ini file, my advice would be to stick to letters and numbers for now. One 'bad' character in the wrong place can crash the server or stop people from connecting.
- Don't set the BannerURL in ServerOptions.ini to anything except a valid banner, if you set it to a website address or anything that doesn't meet the requirements the remote admin wont work and the server is likely to crash.
- Do NOT put EA or DICE or anything like that in your server name, DICE have warned us against this as people might think your server is an official DICE/EA one. There is a possibility your server could be blacklisted if you do this and we wont refund if this happens.
- Don't use remote admin programs too much, at the moment this is likely to cause crashes with the amount of traffic going through the EA backend.
- Do NOT run your server as Ranked + PB + Password, if you wish to password you have to turn off either ranked or PB (both can be done from the ServerOptions.ini file), running all 3 will cause your server to crash.
Finally...be patient, we're doing all we can to get the servers up and stable and DICE are doing all they can as well but it takes time.
